What we do
Kackley Architects specialize in the architectural design of urban and suburban infill projects creating a gradual density framework.
We are an information-forward practice that use a sensitive deployment of technology, spatial, and building data to shape each project outcome. Our goal is to bring cultural and regional specific data into design decisions to sustainably serve the locale for generations.
How we work
Our process starts with relationships. We establish an understanding of the client, the project specific needs, and the location we are working within. With initial stakeholder alignment we are able to dig deeper at a faster pace.
We build layers of information. Information is data that has been processed and structured to provide meaning and context. We start the information process with data collection through Census Data and state agencies open data portals. We process this data using our Geographic Information Systems (GIS) workflows to produce location intelligence, project outlooks, and spatial syntax.
Our creative process responds to the location intelligence and regionally specific information we collect giving each project a unique solution tailored to it’s local constraints.
Who we are
Jacob Kackley is a Native Hawaiian Architect. He has spent the past decade working on scalable, information-oriented design solutions. He has focused his expertise on creative solutions in mixed-use housing and private residential.
Holding a Master of Architecture from Columbia University, Jacob leverages emergent technologies to pursue solutions based on data-driven decision making. He brings a unique cultural values and insights toward spatial strategies and solutions for the built environment.
